I visited chopta while travelling from Kedarnath to Badrinath and really felt in love with the beauty of the place. We stay in swiss camps a few kms before chopta and the view from there was awesome. The majestic peaks of Kedar dome and Chaukhamba were clearly visible. The rare white rhododendrons were blooming near tungnath region which as a rare sight to me. Will definitely visit again probably in winters.

Chopta is such a beautiful place especially during the winters when it is covered with a thick blanket of snow. The place is full of vast meadows and amazing views of the snow laden Himalayan peaks. Don't forget to carry heavy woolens if visiting in Dec-Jan as the temperature is close to zero degrees!
